One human, one suburb at a time.
AussiePlan is a weekly hyperlocal newsletter for Sydney. We're starting in the Inner West, with Marrickville, Newtown, Enmore, Dulwich Hill, Stanmore and Petersham. The plan is to add suburbs across the city one at a time, in the same voice, when the data is good and the audience is real.
Friday morning, 6am Sydney time. One human writing it. The data (events, openings, council notes, Reddit threads) is pulled by a pipeline I built. The picks, the intro, the wording, the calls are all mine.
Why? There are too many "things to do this weekend" newsletters that read like the same press release rotated through three different chatbots. I want one that sounds like a friend who already lives in the area.
What we won't do
- We won't use "amazing", "vibrant", "iconic", "must-see", or "hidden gem".
- We won't pretend an opening is good when the queue is the only thing keeping it busy.
- We won't sell anything past the one sponsor slot per issue.
- We won't run public comments, at least not in v1.
